Color Of The First Light (the director's cut)

from Digital April: Volume 2 by Jesse Sprinkle

/

about

Here is the original "sprinkle" mix of the first track on the "Streamstory" album. This mix is a little more raw, and contains a few treats that were not in the album version. The entire record was specifically written and arranged for the passing of a young man in my town. Even if you didn't know Erik, i'm confident that the songs can speak to your specific situation, as we walk this blurry line between the past, the current, and the coming of the afterlife. More and more i realize that life is really about adjusting to change and coping with losing those who are close to you.

lyrics

My mind all a blur, when i was with you. My heart it is stirred, as i watch this vessel fail. Speak to me is something wrong? I've fallen by the wayside holding on to what you bring. As the future slowly draws, the color of the first light. And all i can do is dream."
