In The Eyes Of A Friend

from Digital April: Volume 2 by Jesse Sprinkle

/

about

Here is one of the first songs I started writing for the "Streamstory" cd. I had originally planned for this to be the focal point of the album, but i just couldn't bring myself to finish it at the time. Perhaps I had placed too much expectation on this song. 2 years later I've decided to complete it and share it with the world.

This is in remembrance of Erik Secker. I'd also like to dedicate the song to my friend Steven Dahl. Steve, you are the reason I spent any time with Erik while he was still with us. I know he meant a lot to you.

lyrics

"The grace of the ember, burning through the afterlife. The coldest December, a season of grief. A face you'd remember, appearing as love might find. As lie blind, to angels passing by."
