Longing For the Ordinary

from Digital April: Volume 1 by Jesse Sprinkle

/

about

This is the original conceptual demo of track 2 from the "Surrounded By Lights" album. Although it's more stripped down than the "full band" version, I think it possesses it's own charming qualities that the final song lacks.

Fun Fact: I wrote the bulk of this song in Seattle during the recording of "Vices" by Dead Poetic. There's always a ton of down time for the drummer once he gets his tracks done. I even remember being slightly embarrassed when Dusty was reading my lyrics out loud from my scribbles on paper. (Because lyrics tend to sound less deep and profound when read out loud by a friend) Anyway, the album version of this song will be featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming film 'King's Faith.' Thanks for listening.
