about

In a couple weeks i'll be leaving on my 7th trip to Uganda. This song is especially dear to my heart because the street kids in Kampala taught it to me. This is a traditional song in the Lugandan language that we arranged in our own special way. For this version I wrote an English verse that was inspired by these dazzling kids. With many of them being orphans, perhaps they may feel left behind or forgotten. Recording this song, and frankly the whole Paradise, Uganda project, is a way for me to show them that that is surely not the reality or truth. These kids are beautiful and absolutely priceless. They have definitely made my life a better place. Nkwagala nyo nyo nyo. (I love you very much!)
