The Rust and Betrayal

from Digital April: Volume 2 by Jesse Sprinkle

/

about

It's no wonder that a song like this would surface from time to time. As a teenage metal head, i survived on a strict and steady diet of Deliverance, Mortification, Living Sacrifice, Seventh Angel, Believer, Vengeance Rising, The Crucified, and so on.
Fun story: Several years back when i was producing a Rochester hard core band, i had a couple hours to kill before the band arrived for a session. Their gear was set up from the day before, so i decided to make use of the spare time and make some music. That morning a song was born, and now you get to hear it. The experience was very magical and nostalgic. Everything you hear (except for the bass) was performed by yours truly. Special thanks to Brian Moore at Red Booth Studios for mixing this track!!! This song is for anyone who may know me from being in Demon Hunter back in the day.

lyrics

"Black as night, in the ocean. Give me life, or precious agony. Denied, what time has frozen. In the sky, the spirit's after me............"
